About High Beeches Primary School

The school opened in 1975 as a single-form entry primary school serving the, then newly built development in which it is located.  More recently it  has expanded to two-form entry to meet the high demand for school places in the local area and now admits 60 children into its Reception cohort each September.

The internal accommodation includes 14 bright, stimulating classrooms, a large, well-equipped school hall and studio space, a versatile central area, used for dining and as a break-out and group space throughout the day, a school library, a peaceful study base, and a range of quiet group rooms.  All members of the community work hard to ensure that the school environment supports and stimulates high quality learning.

Outside spaces are similarly well used and have been developed to facilitate learning for our pupils.  A dedicated early years outdoor learning space ensures that children in Reception can flow freely between the indoors and outdoors during their child initiated sessions.  Other areas of the school site, our nature area, school field and playgrounds, provide further opportunities for physical development and play, as well as for  outdoor learning in academic subject areas.
